T.E.A. for Burnout
Feeling burned out? According to Google's “Head of Global Resilience" Lauren Whitt, TEA might be just what you need!
Build your resilience by taking time to turn your attention inward noticing your Thoughts, Energy, and Attention (TEA). You can practice it weekly, daily, or as often as needed!
T.E.A. is a quick self-reflection to direct your time and attention to what will serve you best in the moment. By answering quick reflection questions for each category, you are able to look closer and fine tune your habits and routines to make them the most effective for your well-being.
Thoughts- Noticing your thinking patterns and self-talk. Then, reframing those that are not serving you. (Today my mind is… To refocus, I need to…)
Energy- Assessing how you are feeling in the moment and mindfully directing your time and attention towards people and activities that motivate and energize you. (Today my energy is… To change or maintain, I need to…)
Attention: Intentionally choosing where you put your time and attention with flexibility. (To be my best today, I will focus on doing or being…)
Google has made it easy to find the answer to all of our questions, now, including how to avoid burnout!
