For years—41 to be exact—I leaned into what I was always told my strengths were: connecting with people, creativity, teaching. I stayed within that comfort zone, because I had silently convinced myself that anything outside of it just wasn’t my thing.
When I started UQ Mindfulness, I didn’t fully believe in myself as a business owner. While I knew I could help others through coaching, the idea of creating a vision, strategy, or handling marketing and sales felt overwhelming.
Imposter syndrome crept in, and I kept questioning, "Who am I to think I could do this?"
I avoided risks out of fear of judgment, overanalyzing every move.
But everything changed when I finally trusted myself and started taking action.
I thrived—not just in helping clients but in embracing the challenges I once thought were beyond me.
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that you don’t need to be perfect to start—you just need to start. And that’s exactly what I help others realize.
