Lasting Benefits

It’s happened to us all.

You meditated or reset and felt that grounded, relaxed, optimistic feeling.

With your shiny new vibe, you went out into the world,

and life happened.

  • Something in your day went wrong.

  • Your kids started fighting.

  • Your schedule fell to bits.

In the moment it may feel as though all of the benefits were short lived, but research shows,

meditation is not just making you feel better in that moment, changing your state.

With consistency, meditation actually makes lasting changes in your traits and how you interact with your life!

Some of the traits that are changed with a consistent practice *

  1. Equanimity - your ability to bounce back after challenges. The amygdala (the part of the brain that detects threats), shows lessened reactivity after 30 hours over eight weeks!

  2. Kindness and compassion- an increase in prosocial behavior is evident after as few as seven hours over two weeks!

  3. Increase in attention- less mind wandering after just eight minutes and two weeks of practice.

  4. Relationship to the self - changing your narrative (mindset) in less than two months of practice.

Take this information as a sign!

If you are already meditating, keep it up!

It’s not time wasted! (But, you likely already feel the difference!)

If you’re not meditating and are thinking of it, consider starting!

Here are some guided meditations to support you.

Set up a discovery call to get started with a plan based on your style and desired benefits.

*This is based on an interesting book, Altered States, by Daniel Goleman and Richard J. Davidson. It is about how meditation changes your mind, brain and body! Here’s an interview recap.
