Share Your Love!
Here’s a perfect mini exercise for Valentine’s Day or any day that you want to strengthen your compassion and connection to others!
It’s called “multiplying goodness” and is from Google’s “Search Inside Yourself” program. I love that an exercise like this is being done in a corporate environment!
Have fun with it and be playful with your visualization. Choose something that makes you smile 💓🍿 🥰 and share that love today, and every day!
Here are some simple steps or listen along to the recording below.
Come into a comfortable position, and close your eyes if you’d like.
Place your hands on your heart and focus your attention on your breath, allowing your mind to settle. Feel the sensation of your hand moving with each inhale and exhale or the temperature of the air.
Connect with the goodness in yourself… your love, compassion, altruism and inner joy. If you’d like you can visualize your goodness radiating in your body as light or hearts, whatever resonates with you.
When you breathe in, breate all of your goodness into your heart.
Use your heart to multiply that goodness by 10. Sometimes, I imagine it like popcorn, and more and more goodness growing.
When you breathe out, send all that goodness out to the whole world. Visualise the light or hearts going out and reaching your loved ones, your friends, colleagues, community and beyond.
Breathe in again, imagine your goodness multiplying and on the exhale, you sharing your goodness with others.
Continue for a few more breaths, and when you feel ready, open your eyes and continue on your day, bringing your light and love to those you meet!
